Wabbit: - Masala: 6.5/10 - Mussels: 8/10 - Shank: 7/10 - Naan: 7.5/10 Really enjoyed the mussels for the appetizer, it is a must if you come here. The lamb shank was good but I had higher expectations as it is a popular item. The masala was okay but kind of disappointed they ran out of chicken, so had to choose lamb. Naan paired nicely with the dishes but delicious on its own too. It was a filling and hearty meal overall. Nice and relaxed atmosphere but depending on your seating, it could be a bit chilly in the winter with the doors opening and closing constantly. Would be open to come back to try other dishes. Bear: - Masala: 7/10 - : 7.5/10 - : 7/10 - Naan: 7.5/10 (8.5 when dipped in mussel sauce) Service was nice and patient. The restaurant is very modern and decorated beautifully. Mussels and naan came together. Mussels were fresh and flavorful. Naan was good by itself but when dipped in the sauce that came with the mussel, it was very good. Shank was tender and came off the bone very easily. The taste could've used something more; overall a good dish but a standard taste profile. The masala was not bad, we added in lamb because chicken was out. I think I would go with a red curry next time. Note: the shank and masala we ordered mild and it was still a little spicy so if you can't have spicy at all, this is something to keep in mind
I saw this driving around, looked at the menu and why not? I had ravioli paneer- From scratch ravioli, paneer, mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, fenugreek, spinach, vodka makhani sauce. It was so good I just kept eating until it was gone. So much flavor! Donna had chicken vindaloo- tender chicken chunks with Arbol & Carolina peppers Harrisa flavored Goan curry, she chose medium spice and was still almost too hot for her. But she loved it. It was right next door to last week's pick.
Simply delicious!! The staff was very attentive and helpful and made the experience really wonderful. A definite repeat - there was so much on the menu I wanted to try. The atmosphere is a hip yet cozy vibe.
10/10 experience at Kama!!! I already cannot wait to come back. Everything, from the ambiance, the details in decorations, to the service, and most importantly, the FOOD. It was all great. I am a big fan of Indian food and I have to say, this was some of the best Indian food I have had. The flavors in each dish were outstanding and did not disappoint. I really don't think you could go wrong ordering from this menu, but my favorites were definitely the crispy chili potatoes and the saag spinach masala. I know a meal is good when all I want to do is sleep after.
It's been a while since I have had good Indian food, and Kama did not disappoint. I will caveat that Kama is not your traditional Indian restaurant. While there a few things on the menu that are common Indian staples, most of the dishes take a unique twist. For starters, we had the chili potatoes, pani puri and chicken harissa tacos. Skip- pani puri. Considering 'pani' means water in Hindi, this is a bit of a misnomer. They use the traditional shells, but you fill it with something that reminds you of a mango salsa. Worth trying once- chili potatoes. Think of this is as a little bit of a sweet and sour (with a hint of spice) potatoes. The sauce is as if tamarind and ketchup had a baby. They were enjoyable, but there were other things on the menu I'd want to try when I go back. Definite must order- the chicken harissa tacos were so good. They had the best flavor. We devoured these. For entrees, we ordered the chicken vindaloo and the short rib. The chicken vindaloo was a solid classic that you can't go wrong in ordering. The short rib is a bit of a misnomer and was more like a giant beef rib. It was super tender and flavorful. The sauce was a touch on the sweet side and the sweetness dominated the whole plate. The short rib came with truffle mashed potatoes. On their own, these potatoes were amazing. My piece of critical feedback is that the pairing between the two doesn't work because the sauce overpowers the truffle flavor, so it becomes pointless. For a side, we got the crispy okra. I thought it was going to be some form of a breaded, deep-fried okra, but it was more sautéed. Regardless, if you're an okra fan, this was really good. I'd eat bowlfuls of this! Im excited that Kama exists and cannot wait to try the additional offerings they have on their menu!
Really enjoyed our dinner here. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, lighting is just right. The food was very flavorful and unique. The crispy potatoes were... interesting, very strong ketchup flavor that I particular wasn't a fan of (my personal taste). The chicken tikka masala was amazing, very flavorful and filling. Got the kulfi ice cream for dessert and was surprised on how flavorful it was. Wide drink menu, got the Indian G&T and really liked it. Service was prompt and helpful. My partner got the mussels for the appetizer and shrimp curry for dinner and was impressed.
Great food and great service! Service was prompt and recommendations were made. The n/a cocktails were great. It was a slow, cold Tuesday so noise level was low. Would definitely recommend and return.
Flavor bombs everywhere! I can't say enough good things about Kama. Even the cocktails steal the show too. My drink rec? The rose-topped J'adore 75. Its as beautiful as it is delicious. Our server was pretty busy. I think he was taking care of the whole place all by himself. Regardless, they have a cozy, upscale vibe with standout flavors for for all personalities. Perfect for a date night or any special occasion! -AT
Kama is a great new addition to Wicker! Came here for a Diwali dinner with friends and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! They were quite busy but the service was pleasant and the quality was great. I had the paneer ravioli and I have to give it a 5/5. I was hesitant about it because sometimes the sauce can be too tikka-ish or just not enough flavor - however this was PERFECT. Set at a medium spice, it was packed with richness and aromatic.
We came here for a birthday dinner celebration. The staff was very kind and put a cute little candle in our dessert! The ravioli were nicely filled and deliciously saucey. The kofta was so soft and perfectly seasoned along with the sauce. The lamb shank vindaloo was fall off the bone - I would recommend this if you're into having a spicer sauce. The naan and roti were both soft, chewy, and cooked perfectly. I could do away without the cauliflower appetizer. The kulfi icecream was very good and not too sweet - it didn't have the flakey texture of traditional kulfi but it was still good. All the cocktails we tried in the Love section of the menu were nothing out of the ordinary.
